My Story
Founded by Pastor Zakiyyah Hill, a passionate leader, author, and mentor, EdifyAlwayz is built on a foundation of faith, perseverance, and service. Born and raised in Sacramento, CA, Zakiyyah accepted Christ at the age of nine at New Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Wendell Burnett. Her deep love for God was nurtured through active participation in Sunday school, youth choir, youth retreats, and Bible study.
In 1999, when her father co-founded Bible Fellowship Community Church, Zakiyyah discovered the importance of a personal relationship with Christ and developed a renewed passion for God’s Word, His presence, and intercessory prayer. She served in multiple leadership roles, including Youth and Outreach Ministry Leader, Women’s Bible Study Facilitator, Church Intercessor, and member of the Praise and Worship team.
In 2000, Zakiyyah married the love of her life, Larry Hill Sr., and together they have been blessed with five children: Keyana, Alayzia, Larry, Larry Jr., and Madyson. Understanding the power of education, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration (2008) and later a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary (2020).
In addition to her academic achievements, Pastor Hill is a self-published author of Descendants of Tamar – From Desolation to Deliverance, a powerful book that speaks to restoration and healing. Accepting the call to ministry, she was ordained on January 10, 2016, and installed as the Senior Pastor of Family Bible Fellowship of Sacramento on March 12, 2017.
With over 20 years of experience in speaking, authorship, and ministry leadership, Pastor Zakiyyah Hill is committed to expanding EdifyAlwayz globally, empowering individuals to walk boldly in faith and purpose. Her mission remains unwavering: "No fear, no doubt, only FAITH!"
